Hi! I just saw the Flite Test vid interview and have to say this is amazing. You have a very professional approach to the project and I commend your dedication. I am looking forward to and will be watching closely for a hopeful release of this advanced control system.

I have wondered why the RC industry hasnt caught up with the new networking technology that is now commonplace. But even though they are behind now, I do think that they <the big companies> will eventually have to come into the 21st century and upgrade their systems to networking rather than direct RF channels, as it seems to be the next logical step.

I appologize if this has been beaten to death and is redundant, but for raising funds have you considered running T-shirts, Hats, Keychains, Controller Straps, ECT. with your logos or OSRC labeling? This will help generate funds to assist in the overall completion, and will help with visibility of the project <show up to an RC event and people ask 'What's OSRC?'> Also I have seen alot of intrest in Pre-Orders, and I would think if you had 10 orders at 1k Euros each you would be in a better position to get completed sooner. Even if the unit wouldnt cost 1k after production, the Pre-orders could be name engraved or some bonus added <wouldnt be hard with a 3D printer I would imagine>.

You definitely need more exposure to your project. The Flite Test interview seems to have done a lot for your cause. As a community we need to spread the word to other RC forums and sites, even hand out or post fliers/brochures about OSRC at RC events. We need to do anything we can to increase the visibility of this Forum and the Project over all.

Anyhow, I thought I would stop by and say hello to the community and suggest others start drumming up support. I wish I would have found the site sooner, I would have donated then, but I went ahead and dropped ya a few clams to assist. I was just about to upgrade my FUTABA system to a higher channel, but I think I will just hold off and see what becomes of the OSRC.

Best of luck,

Mahrik007

Dear Mahrik,

Thank you for noticing the project and your positive comments :)

The suggestions you made are quite reasonable and definitely has been on my mind for some time now, but i am holding back on the T-shirts and other trinkets for now, to save up every penny for development. It is much more important to me to finalize the project right now instead of advertising it. I am sure most people would be more pleased to see a final product rather than me talking about it :) Definitely all the suggestions shall probably be realized, but i would prefer to begin doing that when there is an OSRC product in the shop to brag about :)

Regarding Pre-orders.. Based on my experience and from what i can tell by the response on the web, whatever pricing i try and mention for the system, somehow it multiplies and is increased like a broken telephone :)

I am trying to make the system as affordable as possible, but making pre-orders with a price tag of 1k would only (in my opinion) hurt the final result since that would be the thought-of price and would spread a false rumor.

For the time being i am holding back on announcing any pricing and shall set it once the 3D printing begins, to get a better idea on material pricing and over-all expenses for production, which i think shall be far less than 1k per unit when the system is released.

Once again i thank you for your support and welcome to the forum :)
