Just found your OSRC and it looks very promising, your Ilios SLA printer too.
I have a suggestion for the FPVC Advanced board. Add a (mini) HDMI Port to it. I'm thinking in adding the option to attach an Oculus Rift to the FPVC so that it is possible to control the camera movement with the Headtracker build in the Oculus Rift. The other thing is that it could be possible (if you use two FPV Cameras) to see 3D Stereo Video on the Rift.
But I didn't know if the SOC in the FPVC Advanced is able to manage HDMI output and if the Camera downlink has enough bandwith to stream two Video Signals down. The other thing is that the SOC have to warp the Video so that the optics in the Rift show the right Image.
When the Rift is available I will work on an System to get the Video Output of two Analog FPV Cameras mixed so that it could be viewed in the Rift. Befor that my 3D Printer (sorry I bought a FDM competitor of yours 2 Weeks ago I didn't know your project at this time) have to be ready to print the mechanics for my Cameras.

I shall look into the HDMI feature. FPVC advanced can certainly do it since it uses a high end ARM CPU and Android. However i am not sure about two video signals since FPVC Advanced and the FPV system in general receives and converts only one analog video signal.

I shall see what i can do about it but as far as HDMI goes it is a high probability it will be available in the new version.

I actually was thinking about the Rift system once it was initially presented on KickStarter but based on the demo video i think there is some image processing that needs to be done before you can view the result correctly. I am not sure if it is the lens inside the device that makes the image distorted for it to appear more natural to the eye or the image it self.

I don't have the Rift in front of me so its hard to know for sure but in any case an HDMI port is not difficult to implement on the device and doesn't add much to its final price so it should be good for future development as well.

This is right, you have to do image processing because of the optics in the Rift. I don't know the reason why this is done but it is a fact.
I am working on an System for two analog cameras to bring the pictures in the right format for the Rift. But I'm at the very first steps in considering which SOC I could use for these Task. If it is possible could you tell me which SOC the FPVC use, it's not mentioned in the schematics.

I have done many electronic projects especially in schematic's and board layout. I've written my thesis about an modular processor module with an i.MX ARM SOC but nothing which is capable for HDMI, it's for automation projects at my company. On the software side I set up a linux kernel with the hardware drivers needed for the peripherals which are integrated on the board.

I don't have an Rift either, but they weren't shipping yet.

FPVC Advanced uses its camera input signals for the video. It gets the analog signal from the video receiver and converts it to a digital. The end result works like a normal camera on any Android device. Additionally the video also has an output for external video devices from the same analog signal of the receiver.

If the whole HDMI out thing is to big for the next release it would be great if the second antenna connector could be used for a second video downlink, so that there were two video out connectors on an FPV modul. I hope this feature would be available some time.
