I just wanted to drop by and say that I am extremely impressed by this whole project. From the website to the prototyping to the marketing, it is all very professional. As someone who has done similar inclusive development projects in the past, I really respect the amount of work put in and I am sure it will pay off one way or another. Well wishes and much respect, I will be keeping an eye on progress. :)

Thank you for the support. It indeed took lots of sleepless nights and worrying to get here. Hopefully with some help i can finally get the system out to RC flyers and keep on supporting it for lots of years to come.

I can absolutely relate, I went through a similar situation with brushless quadcopter development years back. Although I didn't directly profit from the project, I learned a lot about so many aspects of the the product development process, and am thankful for the lessons I have taken with me to other chapters of life.

Can you explain in a few short words how you were able to get the product as far as you have? Were any components off the shelf? What tool did you use? How did you fab the electroncis and case? If you told me a team of 20 engineers with a $1+ million budget made this, I wouldn't hestiate to belive that. So how is it possible this project even exist? Please enlighten me. How much outside help have you had, if any?

For those who are in the industry, building something like this doesn't sound all that impossible. It is simply a matter of time and a budget as well as knowledge to make anything a reality. Before OSRC i did lots of subcontracting for companies and built lots of products and prototypes which were basically owned by the customer in every way. After years of development you gather a great list of manufacturers, suppliers to make any part a reality. All you need really is good knowledge of the design aspects and keep a heads up for parts and updates as you develop something. I also describe some background about OSRC in the "About" section of the site.

I rarely think about "How i shall make some feature or product a reality" but instead just start designing what is already working in my head and work out the problems as i go.

OSRC is just an accumulation of knowledge over the years and a project i can focus on completely, which implements mostly all critical aspects of what interests me and is fun to support and use. Designing did take lots of time while doing it by my self since every single screw, PCB and software had to be created from scratch to accommodate the features i had in mind.

20 engineers or 1 doesn't make a difference really. It all depends on the time you have available and the budget. It took a while to create the initial prototype but with the framework i created i can now concentrate on making it better and building upon it, which is what i am currently doing with the second version of the system which is to be built on the 3D printer.

Just imagine what i could do if i had that $1+ million you are talking about when i did what i did with the budget i had :) In any case as you can see from the campaign i really don't need much to keep going and releasing the system.

Tnx for your support and the feedback!
