Exponential Settings

Find out how to configure the exponential curves for each channel. In this section we also go through additional features the exponential menu provides as well as functions which trigger them.
Although the name is Exponential, the OSRC system uses the name only for historical reasons. In reality, the formula for actually calculating the curve for each channel is similar to a Gamma Correction curve. Even though it is quite similar to the Exponential formula, the Gamma Correction calculations give out different and in some cases extreme values which can help with highly sensitive beginner operators or push the controls to extreme values for advanced veterans.
Chan - Channel Number
This option lets the operator select which channel is to be modified. For practicality reasons the only channels that are affected by the curve are the first 4. Although we could easily make all channels be affected by curvature alterations, for the time being there seems to be no reason to do so since the values in most need of this feature are the ones controlled constantly by the operator, which are the 4 axises on both Control Sticks.
Min & Max
By selecting the appropriate option, the operator can control which part of the curve needs to be altered. As on most known devices, there is an option to control separately each side of the curve.
Zoom Function
If needed, the operator has the ability to Zoom into each section of the curve to make slight adjustments. By activating the Add function, the operator can Zoom In on the graph or Zoom Out by triggering the same function.
The part of the curve that shall be magnified is the one selected through the Min or Max options. So if the operator has the Minimum option selected, then by activating the Zoom feature, the Minimum part of the curve shall be magnified.
